If this happens, and you are using a Mac computer<\/strong>, Close Safari. Open the\u00a0Mac<\/b>\u00a0System Preferences and select “Java<\/b>” (found in the “Other” section). In the “Security” tab of the\u00a0Java<\/b>\u00a0Control Panel, make sure the “Enable Java<\/b>\u00a0content in browser” checkbox is checked, and lower the security to “Medium.” <\/p>

You can also try to enable java directly in Safari:<\/p>

  1. Close the\u00a0Java<\/b>\u00a0Control Panel and launch Safari.<\/li>
  2. Open\u00a0Safari<\/strong>\u00a0(it’s the compass icon that, by default, lives in your bottom toolbar).<\/li>
  3. In the top toolbar, select “Safari<\/strong>.”<\/li>
  4. In the dropdown menu, click “Preferences.”<\/li>
  5. Toggle over to the “Security” tab.<\/li>
  6. Check the box next to “Enable Javascript<\/strong>.”<\/li><\/ol>

    If this happens on a Windows computer<\/strong> Java needs to be enabled in your browser settings.\u00a0 Use the instructions below according to the browser you are using:<\/p>

    1. \u00a0Firefox:\u00a0
      To\u00a0enable\u00a0or disable\u00a0JavaScript in Firefox\u00a03.6 or later:<\/b><\/div>
      1. In\u00a0Firefox<\/b>\u00a0for Windows, from the Tools menu, select Options. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible. In\u00a0Firefox<\/b>\u00a0for Mac OS X, from the\u00a0Firefox<\/b>\u00a0menu, select Preferences….<\/div><\/li>
      2. Click the Content tab.<\/div><\/li>
      3. Check or uncheck\u00a0Enable JavaScript<\/b>. <\/div> <\/li><\/ol><\/li>
      4. Google Chrome:
        1. On<\/strong>\u00a0your computer, open\u00a0Chrome<\/strong>.<\/li>
        2. At the top right, click the three vertical dots and then Settings.<\/li>
        3. On the left side choose “Privacy and security,” click Site Settings.<\/li>
        4. Scroll down to JavaScript and click there.<\/li>
        5. Turn on<\/strong>\u00a0Allowed (recommended). <\/li><\/ol><\/li>
        6. Internet Explorer
          1. Click on the Tools menu.<\/li>
          2. Choose\u00a0Internet<\/strong>\u00a0Options… from the menu.<\/li>
          3. Click the Security tab on the\u00a0Internet<\/strong>\u00a0Options pop up.<\/li>
          4. Click the Custom Level… …<\/li>
          5. Scroll almost all the way down to the Scripting section.<\/li>
          6. Select the Enable button for Active scripting.<\/li>
          7. Click OK to finish the process.<\/li>
          8. Click Yes when asked to confirm.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>
