Description
This continuing education seminar explores the relationship between chiropractic care, the nervous system, and brain performance. Emphasis is placed on functional neuroanatomy, sensorimotor integration, autonomic regulation, stress physiology, and neuroplasticity as they relate to cognitive efficiency, motor control, and overall neurological performance.
Upon completion of this course, the doctor of chiropractic will be able to:
1. Describe key neuroanatomical structures involved in brain performance.
2. Explain how spinal joint dysfunction influences afferent input and central processing.
3. Discuss the role of chiropractic care in autonomic nervous system balance.
4. Identify mechanisms linking stress, pain, and reduced cognitive performance.
5. Apply brain-performance concepts to chiropractic assessment and care planning.
6. Educate patients on lifestyle and movement strategies that support brain health.
